As I recall, the first time you do something that needs Java the OS will ask if you want to install it, and version 6 is what you get. According to this page, typing java -version in the Terminal is enough to trigger the prompt. For the JDK (and not the runtime), you'll need to log into developer.apple.com, search for java, and download the Java for OS X 2012-006 Developer Package. Java jdk free download - Apple Java for OS X 10.6, Apple Java for OS X 10.7/10.8, Java 2 SE, and many more programs. Jdk 7 free download - OpenJDK 7 for OS X Lion, Easy Duplicate Finder 7 Mac, Adobe Flash Player, and many more programs. What I need to know is if JDK 1.5.013b05 works the same as JDK 6. Or if maybe the information i'm reading is out of date and it's already updated to 6. Anybody out there using JAVA JDK 6 on MAC OS X Snow Leopard successfully or should I just go out and buy a.
